Was amazing.


Okay, so the flight there was pretty good. I got just about no sleep Wednesday night. Maybe an hour or two, and then I got up at like, 6:45 to get ready and then go to the airport. Flight was supposed to leave 9:10, but was delayed 10 minutes to 9:20. Was a good flight, though. We landed in Cleavland a few hours later and then sat around there for half an hour then boarded the other plane to Portland and got in at like, 5:30ish. We had to stop at Walmart and the Sprint store before going to the hotel, though, and got there about an hour before the ball started. The hotel didn't seem that big but everything was laid out over a bunch of stairs, so it was pretty large. Not as big as where Wasabi or the NDK was, but it was nice. I met up with a few good friends I met on the forums and then I went and changed for the ball.
I wore my Sakura Haruno lolita, featured in some picture on my dA, lol. The ball, they played some good music but I didn't have too much fun because my date was like, sick the first half and then only danced with me a few times because he was busy socializing with everyone else. >>;; Kinda ticked me off but I got over it. I danced with a few girls who asked me but the rest of the time I sat up against the wall and talked with my friend Sean. Or well, we didn't even talk, we kinda just sat there watched other people dance. xD
Friday was pretty fun, I spent the morning wandering around trying to get the hang of the place. Video game room was downstairs along with the dealers' room. That's also where the bathrooms were. The table-top gaming room and RPG game room were on the main level, along with the big room where the ball and masquerade was and such. The video rooms were up on the next level with the computer/LAN room. I was in my Chikorita/Pikmin/Tree/Cucumber (...don't ask xD ) costume most of Friday and then I switched into L later that night. We played a lot of DDR and I followed around my friend Mr. Stalker and met some girls in the morning who's mom was kind of freaked out by the whole convention thing. Sasuke and the Ouran twins. <3 The Slants concert was also on Friday, it was pretty good. I was kind of disappointed a lot of their songs were in English, but It wasn't that much of a surprise. They were from Oregon. I tried to get my friend to come see the fireworks with me that night, since it was the 4th of July, though. He left without me and I cried, but the fireworks were still pretty. Then I loitered in the lobby with Sean for awhile, playing extreme patticake until my mom came looking for me around 12:30 and told me to go to bed. xD
Saturday was a lot of fun. I was down in the lobby for about 5 minutes dressed as Chise before I caught my wings on someone. xDD And I freaked out and was like "OMGOMGOMGOMGIMSOSORRY!" And yeah. A few people snapped my picture, was cool. Then I went and sat in the video game room all day. Was way hot, though, so I had to take off my jacket/wings. The DDR tournament started 30minutes early and went into 2hour overtime. xD I placed 4th and met some cool people. Sigma and... Jimmy I think his name was. I just called him Zabuza. =X I beat Tyler in the tournament with a tie-breaker by like... 7 points. HA! Was an awesome match, though. He was the smart one and got the fan and set it up by the DDR mat, hahah. Had to miss the cosplay masquerade due to the DDR tournament running late, though. ): I watched videos on YouTube. Wish I coulda been there. "L's sock!" "But L doesn't wear socks..." The rave that night was AMAZING. The DJ played some good tracks... a few seemed out of place, but for the most part, it was real good. I danced with Sean and Mr. Stalker and Sigma for the most part. Shuffling around and glow-sticking was much fun~ My bad depth perception almost got me smacked a couple of times, and I did accidentally knock off my glasses while glow-sticking and had to feel around on the floor for them since it was dark. xD But it was all good.
And then Sunday came. And it was over like that. Was very sad it ended. I had to leave at 2. ): I sat around with Tyler and watched people play DDR and Stepmania and stuff. Was pretty crazy what people could do with their hands. And then there was some stuff, and then we watched more Stepmania, lol. Eventful day. And then I said my goodbyes to everyone and did a quick change in the parking garage, Sakura lolita into normal clothes. In under 5 minutes. I'm getting good at it. xD But yeah. *sigh* PORTCON COME BACK.

Then we drove 2hours to Corinth, then another to Greenville. And then I spent the night at Greenville and then at around 9pm the next night we drove an hour back to Corinth where I repacked all 4 of my costumes and all the souvenirs I had gotten and chatted with some Portcon friends online, "I MISS YOU ALREADY!" and then went to bed. Got up the next morning at 8 and drove 2 hours back to Portland, got on a plane, flew to Cleavland where we sat for a 2 hour lay over. Then a giant thunderstorm hit and we were delayed an hour. Finally got home and didn't unpack till the next day, though.

I miss all my friends I met at Portcon~ I wish they could all come visit and we could go to Chuck E Cheese's. =X
I wish Portcon would come back.
